Twice a year STEM Fuse offers a competition for students all across the United States to put their best coding skills to work with a program/software called Game Maker. The “Got Game?” Contest is a natural offshoot of STEM Fuse’s GAME:IT programming courses that were created to inspire middle school and high school students to learn how the individual facets of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) come together when developing a video game. Students are required to “dream up” and program their own original game and submit their game through the STEM Fuse Arcade website.

Prizes are awarded for the top three games to the student-creator(s) AND their schools!  The submission period for the “Got Game?” Competition starts now and runs through January 17th, 2014 at 5:00PM Central.

It has not gone unnoticed by STEM Fuse’s staff that the creativity and professionalism of many of the games that have been submitted by students in years past have been simply incredible. We look forward each semester to our “Got Game?” competition. It is thrilling for us to see the work that students have put forth as well as to see the passion for computer programming that has been ignited in them through this exercise.

We just have one question for students this semester…Do you Got Game?

Showcase your talent and share it with the world!
