STEM Fuse will be hosting a hands-on demonstration on GAME:IT, our exciting computer programming course that incorporates all the facets of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math).
What better way to teach computer programming than by building video games?!? In this course, students will learn about variables, loops, conditional statements, functions, arrays and more while building 4 different games. In addition, they will see how physics and math play a critical role in making games realistic, learn how the engineering design cycle is used in game design, and explore career opportunities in this field. At the end, students will put all the skills together to storyboard, program and publish an original game.
This session will allow you to “try before you buy” or get that hands-on training to ensure you’re ready to teach this course. This hands-on session will include an overview of the GAME:IT curriculum materials, as well as provide hands-on training on the Construct 2 software. THERE IS NO COST FOR THIS WORKSHOP.
